We went with the names that we used with the cats. Reflecting on it recently, Em and I realized that we started calling each other the name we used for our own mothers. So Em called me Mama to the cats as she calls her mother, and I called Em Mommy to the cats, as that is what I call my mother. X is 16 months and I still get confused and call myself Mommy sometimes. But we asked X the other day where is Mommy and he indicated Em and we said where is Mama and he indicated me. So we may be confused, but he isn't!Katehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16657111727553330419noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6313643265604233119.post-19618808723748931102010-03-07T19:43:37.760-05:002010-03-07T19:43:37.760-05:00This comment has been removed by the author.Kate and Emilyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08785780172945870173noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6313643265604233119.post-83326743776367303252010-03-07T08:12:34.065-05:002010-03-07T08:12:34.065-05:00Non-bio mom is Mama in our house and bio-mom is Me...Non-bio mom is Mama in our house and bio-mom is Mema.Casey from LifewithRoozle.comhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00872005408401412336noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6313643265604233119.post-16317464424370815122010-03-04T14:53:52.775-05:002010-03-04T14:53:52.775-05:00Glad to hear what others have done... that makes m...Glad to hear what others have done... that makes me feel a little better!

Boo, we are also alternating- Zazie was first, I'll start TTC for baby #3 (yikes!) in winter 2011 using the same donor. But Justine (the first bio mom) will be mama, and I (the first non-bio mom) will be mum, or perhaps just mom. I love learning what other mamas are called and I am curious to see what others say.boohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16833208231617233045noreply@blogger.com
